Jason Hooper
Jason Hooper grew up racing motocross in the early 90′s in his home state of Maryland. Hoop qualified for Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Motocross Championship in 1996 and 1997 and after two thorough ass-whoopings and a severely broken arm, he changed his focus from turning pro at motocross to getting into a decent college. Fast forward about 8 years to his senior year of college at West Virginia University, Hooper would run into Racer X Illustrated founder Davey Coombs at a local watering hole. A few shots and a phone call from mutual friend action sports superstar Travis Pastrana, Hoop was the newest member of the Racer X staff. After graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design from WVU, Jason would stay on as a designer for Racer X until 2009 when the opportunity was given for him to take over production of the GNCC television show, RacerTV. Fast forward another 2 years and Hoop now lives in Hickory, NC with his girlfriend Krista Shaw, dog Champ, and is the driving force behind Hooper Media, LLC which continues the production of RacerTV as well as digitaloffroad.com and many other projects.
