Corona, CA – July 23, 2012 – Fred Andrews Racing (FAR) Husqvarna’s Nick Davis took his first win of the year at the fifth round of the AMA East National Hare Scrambles series in Valley View, Pennsylvania. Davis entered the race as a training exercise during the GNCC summer break, and was elated to record his first win of the year, and his first aboard his Husqvarna TC250.
“I started in second position, and sort of just followed Jed (Haines) throughout the first loop to learn the track,” Nick explained. “Jed eventually made a mistake and I took over the lead, I put my head down and never looked back.”
Nick made his maiden victory a dominant one. By the checkered flag, Davis had opened a gap of more than three minutes over the field. “My TC250 worked great today,” Davis said. “The race was a lot of fun and I can’t wait for the next one!”
“Nick made a last-minute decision to race the Hare Scrambles,” Fred Andrews explained. “It’s really great that he went and raced. That was a really important win. I knew he had it in him! Now Nick can carry this momentum into the rest of the season and hopefully we’ll see him on the podium at a GNCC and a National Enduro.”
The FAR Husqvarna team returns to action next weekend at the Cross Fork, Pennsylvania National Enduro.
