Stuart, FL. (July 9, 2012)– Another great weekend for Team WMR KTM/Nihilo Concepts! Team WMR/Nihilo Concepts XC1 rider Rory Mead continues his podium streak, finishing 3rd-overall in the high heat in Ohio. This further proves Rory’s diverse riding abilities. He currently sits 3rd overall in points going into the break.
“I really enjoyed the track, but the heat made it tough. I again surprised myself with a podium finish. I wasn’t sure how I would finish here today as we haven’t raced a track like this in a while, but all the training and preparation paid off. I head home now for a few weeks where I will start on some base training again, looking forward to Unadilla and hopefully finishing with another win before the season is out,” says Mead.
Team WMR KTM/Nihilo Concepts Open A rider Chris Douglas improved on last week’s 3rd-place finish, moving up one place on the podium, finishing 2nd.
“With temperatures over 100 degrees, I knew my fitness was going to be tested. I had my fastest lap on the last lap of the race, moving me into 19th overall! I caught first place on the last lap but just couldn’t make the pass for the lead,“said Douglas.
The GNCC series now goes on a long summer break, but not for team WMR/Nihilo Concepts. They now need to switch gear and get ready for the biggest amateur motocross event of the year–the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Motocross Championship. WMR and Nihilo Concepts will provide trackside support and product vending right next to the KTM semi. In addition Team WMR/Nihilo Concepts will be supporting their amateur mx team of Brock Papi, Enzo Lopes, Challen Tennent, and many others.
